Waukee Community School District Announces Finalists for Superintendent Interviews
The Waukee Community School District (CSD) Board of Education is pleased to announce that they have selected three candidates to interview for their superintendent vacancy. The candidates selected for interviews are:
- Dr. Bradley A. Buck – Cedar Rapids, Iowa
- Mr. Matthew A. Smith – Des Moines, Iowa
- Dr. Christopher J. Hines – Shenandoah, Texas
Interviews are scheduled to be conducted the week of April 22, 2019. Numerous stakeholder groups will have the opportunity to meet the final candidates and submit input to the board about each candidate. The Board intends to make their selection by April 26, 2019.
The Waukee CSD retained the services of McPherson & Jacobson L.L.C. to assist in conducting their search. The consultants reviewed, screened, and conducted extensive background checks on 21 applicants. On Monday, April 15, the consultants presented the applicants to the Board of Education and provided them detailed background information on each applicant. The board selected the three candidates mentioned above as finalists.
After the superintendent has been hired, the consultants will facilitate a Board/Superintendent workshop to assist in the establishment of performance objectives for the new superintendent.
